Striving to try to get more personal satisfaction into my life, I took the family to the boardwalk in Innisfail this afternoon instead of staying back at the caravan with Reg where he sits around waiting until the intensity is out of the sunshine so he can head off fishing.

The boardwalk park at Innisfail was a popular place for a Sunday BBQ and picnic in the park.

I painted in the shade for three hours, it was not the success, I had hoped. Reg did not relax so I was focusing on him more than the painting. Just the same I completed a small canvas in acrylic and signed it KJS, my initials as it is a mediocre original, it was not worth of a Kathy Shell, signature, but it was an achievment, just to have, 'done it'.  It is possible I could develop this into a better work, in the studio.

When I finished painting, we took a short scenic drive before heading back to Flying Fish Point.  When we got back I asked if Reg would be OK if I went for a run and by his reaction I knew I couldn't.  I was disapointed, I had energy to spare and felt frustrated that I couldn't exercise.

Cooked a tasty, chicken and chickpea, with spicy, Marsala seasoning, with stir-fry, vegetables. I made enough for two nights so tomorrow’s dinner will be an easy heat and eat.

I am already talking to Reg about ‘doing it again tomorrow', that is, the painting on location.  I am trying to get him used to it.  I m hoping, we might get a routine going where he goes fishing early morning then I  can exercise once he is back I am considering going to gym so I can focus, then come home, pack a picnic lunch and go out to paint on location, home in time for Reg to fish again then dinner then I will write, in the evening, but get to bed early enough, so as to be up early to exercise.

Well that is the action plan. I have yet to see if I can make it work.
I think the photos speak volumes. The ones above show me looking so focused on my art, though I was actually concerned at how unrelaxed Reg was and the pictures of him show a man far from relaxed.  Tomorrow I WILL TRY AGAIN. :-).

I will be very happy, if once again I can fit art into my life, I am beginning to miss it.
I need to make this work.
Carer duties, Exercise and Art, can be balanced into my life, I am going to do it.
