lol, Jo, I know you and Wayne would not move any place, not even a block of land, if Wayne did not have his big metal building standing there first, even before the home. lol. A few people around here, buy shipping containers, put a ventilation shaft in the ceiling and a front securely bolted metal door. I think 'how sturdy and safe they are as storage'. I have a friend in QLD who was even looking at having one large open plan metal building placed on her block to fit out as a home, such a safer alternative, if anchored well, than some of the structures built in cyclone prone areas. I think a lot of seniors who are downsizing are thinking outside traditional concepts of what they need as a home and moving away from the traditional bricks and mortar set up wanting to spend thier remaining years enjoying lifestyle not making an impress the Jones with the designer look of the home. lol, a metal box if it was roomy, light and airy and insulated would do me any day, and make it light weight and stick it on good wheels, and lol, I'm 'on my way' to everywhere I want to go. :-). I know you will be living this sort of life, one day, too Jo, :-), and loving it.
